Third Grade Art
Instructor: Jackie Royce
The third grade Art curriculum focuses on helping students develop basic art skills, techniques, and terminology. Our hope is that the children begin thinking about art as a fine skill rather than as just decoration. The students are encouraged to critique their own art and search for possible areas of improvement. Art is heavily integrated with Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. Throughout the year, the children create several pieces of work that enhance and further the learning of content being covered in the core subjects.
